Outside Technical Sales Representative

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Technical Sales Representative responsible for enterprise-wide development of new sales and supporting our existing customer base.  The position seeks new business opportunities out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Build and manage relationships with new and existing customers

Presenting sales proposals to potential customers

Provide professional, effective and efficient technical solutions for customer inquiries and concerns

Receive ongoing technical training support – both internally and through suppliers

Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold calling if necessary

Demonstrate effective communication skills to continually meet or exceed sales targets

Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts

Ensure that sales targets are consistently met

Perform product demonstrations at trade shows and online seminars; deliver marketing/sales presentations and participate in other events as necessary

Support the Director of Brand Marketing through the development of various technical documentation including application notes, FAQs, user manuals, and field training presentations

Ability to identify and follow up on leads

 

REQUIREMENTS

Bilingual an asset (English/French)

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Valid G class driver’s license and a willingness to travel extensively

 

EDUCATION

Diploma or Degree in a technical discipline, equivalent knowledge and/or experience in the utility industry

Sales experience an asset
