METERING ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN / WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
We are currently seeking a motivated Metering Assembly Technician / Warehouse Associate who will primarily focus on the assembly and wiring of primary metering units and handle, move, load and unload various materials by hand or using equipment like forklifts.
HOURS: Minimum 32 up to 40 hours per week (Mon - Fri)
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Provide assembly and wiring services for primary metering units in the areas of energy metering
• Loading, unloading and moving products and materials by hand or by using equipment such as a forklift
• Keeping the organized warehouse, work areas safe and clean, ensuring the safety of other warehouse workers
• Working with others within the warehouse and managers to make sure daily procedures are done
• Update all job folder documentation
• Understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
• Able to wire electrical circuits with the aid of drawings, prints, and instructions
• Experience in lifting and hoisting techniques
• Able to operate various pneumatic and electric tools such as nailers, saws, impact devices, etc.
• Certified or able to obtain certification to operate a forklift
• Physically fit, able to lift various types and weights of equipment
• Positive, proactive, and high energy level, comfortable performing all activities within a warehouse environment in conjunction with all day-to-day activities
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, contractors, and members of the public
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Shipping and receiving knowledge would be an asset
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
EDUCATION
• Post-secondary diploma in an Electrical/Electronics discipline is an asset
• Experience and/or courses in a trades discipline
• Diploma or Degree in a technical discipline, equivalent knowledge and/or experience in the utility industry is an asset
